In the first quarter of 2022, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps on the Android platform in Central America exhibited diverse trends in downloads and active users. Here's a look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting from around 131K in early January and peaking at approximately 169K by mid-March. The app's weekly active users also demonstrated a positive trend, rising from about 3.8M at the beginning of January to over 4.7M by the end of March.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a steady climb in weekly downloads, beginning the quarter at roughly 102K and reaching around 152K in mid-March. The weekly active users for Uber also increased, growing from about 4.9M in early January to nearly 5.9M by mid-March.

inDrive. Save on city rides showed a mixed trend in weekly downloads. Starting at around 84K in early January, the downloads dipped slightly but then increased to approximately 104K by mid-March. The weekly active users for inDrive rose steadily from about 1.7M at the start of January to over 2M by the end of March.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had fluctuating weekly downloads, beginning at about 65K in early January and ending at around 51K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users increased from approximately 331K in early January to around 347K by the end of the quarter.

DiDi Driver: Drive & Earn Cash maintained a relatively stable trend in weekly downloads, starting at about 31K in early January and ending at around 34K by late March. The weekly active users for DiDi Driver remained fairly consistent, fluctuating slightly but staying around 290K throughout the quarter.
